Deputy Chief Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT), Wagga Wagga
Our Wagga Wagga clinic was established in 2014 as an independent, state-of-the-art imaging practice, located within the Wagga Wagga Specialist Medical Centre. In 2023 we opened our second clinic and due to growth, we are looking for a Deputy Chief MIT to join our passionate and dedicated team.
Reporting to the Chief MIT, this full-time Deputy Chief MIT role will support and compliment the Chief MIT and Clinical Director to provide leadership to the staff group of the clinic, and ensure all resources and systems are in place to enable the successful and effective delivery of premium quality imaging services and patient care.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support the Chief MIT to coordinate the clinical and commercial operation of the practice.
- Coordinate and participate in rosters to ensure each team is appropriately staffed
- In the absence of the Chief MIT, act as the point of contact and resource for staff, patients, and referrers
- Support the Chief MIT to ensure team’s strategic and operational plans are implemented
- In conjunction with the Chief MIT, ensure performance expectations are set and measured, and team member’s strengths and development needs are identified
What are we looking for?
To thrive in this role, you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated similar experience within a Radiology Practice
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability lead by example, work under pressure, adapt quickly, and juggle a number of priorities
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge across a broad range of examinations with the ability to draw on these to manage the day-to-day provision of the medical imaging service
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage relationships and influence outcomes with a number of key stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to use initiative and independent judgement
- Demonstrated awareness of how to optimise workflow and uphold patient quality and care
- Strong advocate of clinical excellence and continual service improvements
