Our Footscray clinic represents an exciting opportunity to help shape a new site from the beginning, support the local community, and contribute to an important step in IA’s journey.  Working alongside experienced Radiologists and imaging professionals who genuinely care about patient outcomes, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment, with a varied caseload and patient-centred collaborative team.  Our Footscray clinic will also be home to IA’s first established PET department, making Footscray a unique opportunity to help build a service that will make a meaningful difference for our patients and referrers in the local community.

About the role

Working alongside our Radiologists, clinical and administration teams, you will provide safe, compassionate and efficient nursing care to our patients undergoing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care before, during and after imaging procedures.
• Preparing, assessing and assisting patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Performing cannulation.
• Monitoring patients throughout procedures and during recovery where required.
• Responding appropriately to medical emergencies and adverse reactions.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Ensuring infection prevention, medication management and clinical governance standards are maintained.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
• Contributing to the successful establishment and ongoing development of the new clinic

About you

We’re patient-first and it’s important to us that our patients feels cared for, supported and valued throughout their patient journey.  Your caring and compassionate approach, combined with strong clinical expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, will see you thrive in this role.  You will also bring:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Previous experience in a medical imaging environment
• A strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to clinical excellence
• The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Full work rights in Australia, with Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or an appropriate visa permitting ongoing employment in Australia
