Payroll Officer, Box Hill Support CentreAs our business expands, we are looking to hire a self-motivated, proactive and experienced Payroll Officer to join our awesome finance team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an autonomous role which will see you drive the end-to-end payroll function for over 250 employees whilst delivering a friendly, accurate, and timely service. About the roleYou may be well-versed working in a large payroll team, looking for an opportunity to drive a payroll function, or you may be experienced at working in a standalone role, looking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will play a key role in our payroll team as we continue to grow as a business.You will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for 250+ employees in a multi-site environment using Human Force (Time and Attendance system) and HR3 (Payroll software). As the payroll function expands with the group, your focus on continuous systems improvement will initiate greater efficiencies in payroll processes. Key focuses of the role include:Accurate, timely preparation of fortnightly & monthly payroll.Communicating with staff in response to payroll queries.Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any payroll discrepancies.Onboarding and termination of employees.Managing employee entitlements and statutory obligations in line with current requirements.Interpreting and applying knowledge of relevant awards and legislation.Contributing to process improvement initiatives and managing HR3. What experience do I have?Demonstrated experience performing the complete payroll function.Strong background in processing payroll for employees under complex award structures. Medical/Healthcare sector highly regarded.An outstanding eye for detail, high level of accuracy, and strong numeracy skills.Strong communication skills: you can interact well with a diverse range of people and build and maintain good working relationships.A forward-thinking, proactive, and analytical approach: you have the ability to identify efficiencies and resolve issues quickly and effectively.A knack for working to tight deadlines, prioritising and re-prioritising tasks and working autonomously to get the work done.Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable, agile, and resilient.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs, Time and Attendance, and Payroll systems.
